The Kick-off Meeting for NATO SPS Multi-Year Project G7850: "Secure, Antibacterial, Flame-retardant, Enhanced Guard Apparel for Resilient Defense" was successfully held.


The meeting took place on:

📍 Virtual (via Microsoft Teams )


This meeting officially launched our collaborative work, provide information on project activities and documentation, and define roles and responsibilities among the partner countries. NATO SPS representatives was also be present to provide administrative guidance.

Each partner group prepared a short presentation outlining their roles and responsibilities in the project, and planned activities for the first project period.


Croatian group

Dr Nives Matijaković Mlinarić explained the basics of the project's administrative requirements, a Data Management Plan was agreed upon, and the methodology for working with textile materials in the first six months of the project was presented.

Swiss group

Dr Mihyun Lee presented plans for systematic microbiological testing of the effectiveness of individual textile components and coatings.

Austrian group

Prof Eva Roblegg presented biocompatibility and safety tests of individual components and developed materials.

For the very beginning of the project, the first steps in the experimental setup were agreed upon, and a second meeting was arranged a month from the start of the project for further agreements, plans and presentation of research progress.
